Great choice for Macbooks
This product was recommended to me by a Micro Center employee. I had picked an unsuitable one online and this was better and cheaper.
Besides having a mini-display port , which we needed to interface with an Apple monitor, it has an HDMI ,Ethernet and USB TYPE A ports. It also has USB-type C power pass-though.
It was really plug and play , no drivers needed for Ethernet, which was appreciated. The only think I wish for is for the cable to be 6 inches longer.

Excellent Isolation!
Bought this for my son's MacBook Pro, which is used with a gaming keyboard and mouse, plus a 21 inch monitor. His room at school houses the wireless router, and the signal concentration made him wrap his old hub in aluminum foil to isolate it! No such problem with the Satechi. Clean, fast and isolated.
