This adapter supports 2280 length ACHI M.2 SSD and NVME M.2 SSD to upgrade replacement MacBook Air and Pro 12+16pin original hard drives (see compatibility above!)
Note：installing dual systems does not support WIN7, only supports win10!
1. For beginners, it is recommended to use ACHI M.2 SSD.Installation is simple.
It allows you to plug in and install the new system directly, making the operation relatively simple.
2. For experienced buyers, NVME M.2 SSD are recommended.

Installation of NVME M.2 SSD:
Note: The original hard disk must be still in used, the system version must be upgraded to run version 10.14 or or higher than version 10.14 once , and then disassemble the original SSD.
First: Before replacing the new NVME M.2 SSD, make sure the system version must be upgraded to run version 10.14 or or higher than version 10.14 once , the SMC and boot ROM versions of Mac will be updated to support the NVME M.2 SSD.
Only after the BIOS version 10.14 or above is run once to upgrade the BIOS firmware, the NVME M.2 SSD recognition driver is available.
Second: Do not use Mac\'s own network recovery software to install new hard disk Mac OS.
only install new hard disk through U disk. You must use a U-disk for installation, not a Mac for network installation and system recovery. The U -disk version of the system must be 10.14 or higher.
If NVME M.2 SSD will be not found below this version. It is recommended to download the latest version before replacing the hard disk version of the Apple system and install it on the U disk.
Note that the system USB driver must be downloaded from the original system, from the Apple System App Store, using the command line instead of using third-party software and third-party system files.
Create a bootable macOS installer:
Third: When installing, be sure to format the disk into APFS format. If formatted as hfs, the space in the installation system interface will be unrestricted, so the disk space will be insufficient.
