This is a PEM passive device that can be mounted next to the railing of a rack. Each PEM connects to one system port of a HP KVM switch, and then up to eight servers can be connected to the PEM, instead of just one server connected to he main KVM port. With a PEM connected to each of the 8 or 16 ports of the HP switch, the total system capacity of the 16 port switch expands to 128 servers. This makes it very economical to expand on your existing KVM switch, & leave everything centralized under one KVM device.Please check with your user manual to find out if this PEM expansion module will work with otherHP KVM switches.Each unit include detachable, rack mounting brackets.
