The Cherry MY 3000 (officially model G81-3000) is a vintage full-size keyboard that uses unique Cherry MY hybrid switches over a membrane sheet instead of fully mechanical switches.

Switch Design

Mechanism: Each key has a plastic slider and spring that press a leaf spring down onto a solid underlying membrane.

Plate: It features a heavy steel mounting plate that holds the individual switch modules.

Sound: Despite the stiff feel, the dense keycaps and solid plate make these keyboards sound deeper, quieter, and more solid than typical cheap membrane boards.
