Exterior rubberized plastic is deteriorating and sticky, which is unfortunately common for materials of this vintage. Battery was compromised and had to be discarded, it had swollen and cracked the battery carriage. An aftermarket rechargeable solution can be acquired. Unit works with external power supply. both flash cards work. I do not have a computer to test the serial functionality.
