DISCLAIMER – PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING:This system includes a special HP stand/dock designed to hold the tablet in an upside-down orientation. This is intentional and is how these models were engineered. When placed in the dock, the device sits inverted so that the scanner ends up at the bottom of the tablet, making it easier for the associate to scan items in front of the customer without awkwardly reaching over the screen.
The tablet automatically rotates the display to the correct viewing position no matter how it is docked or held, similar to a phone or standard tablet, so the screen will always appear upright to the user.
These HP Engage Go Mobile units were built for active retail environments where staff may carry the tablet around the store or place it on the dock for charging, printing, or running full POS operations.
When the tablet is docked, you may notice the HP logo appears at the top of the device even though the tablet is physically upside down. This is normal for this model. Once removed from the dock, the device can be used handheld (including with the carrying strap), and it will automatically orient the screen correctly. The dock provides the same ports and connections as other standard HP Engage Go docking bases.
