Audiophile Quality Custom Built Epik Home Audio/Theater Subwoofer For Sale

I originally built this passivesub-wooferas an end table but it could also be used as a coffee table. I started witha NOS "Built like a Tank" Epik Driver (the same as used in the Epik Sentinel or Vanquish subwoofers) and 1" mdf not 3/4" like most. The driver is dual voice coil and will handle 1000 watts per coil. Each coil is 8 ohms for a paralleled load of 4 ohms which mostsub-wooferamplifiers are designed todrive or can be run as two 8 ohm loads. The cone is aluminium, voice coils is 3" diameter and has a large rubber roll surround. This driver weighs over 40lbs and has double stacked magnets. The driver sensitivity is 90db @1 watt so it's easy to drive with nearly any amplifier from 50 watts up.

The cabinet is all 1" mdf and heavily internal braced. Pictures only show the port braces but trust me i added 5 cross and 2 vertical braces i just forgot to take pics. It is screwed and glued useing Lock-Tite Heavy Duty contractor adhesive.
The internal volume is 3.87 cuft. matched to the driverusingWinISd for speaker enclosures and the dual3" flared ports are tuned to 19Hz. The exterior is painted with Dura-Tex speaker cabinet paint in black and has a nice texture.

Thissub-wooferis awesome for home theater but also very musical.
