This is a home made portable computer or Cyberdeck. The computer is a Raspberry Pi model 4 B with 4 megabytes of ram.
It is running Raspberry Pi OS on a 128 GB sd Card.It has a 7 inch touchscreen display, a keyboard, and a finger mounted thumb control trackball for precision mouse control.
The body of the cyberdeck is 3d printed and a modified version of the Hal Grid Project.
It is powered by an official Raspberry Pi power supply.
It also has external speakers attached to the back of the cover.
I built this system initially to replace the laptop I was given at work, intending to use it both as a desktop replacement and as a in car computer for the snowplow I sometimes operated.
Midway through the project I left that job. Originally I had planned on a track pad next to the keyboard, but the one I bought did not work well with the Raspberry Pi. It has room to add a battery system, but at the moment does not have one and is powered by outlet only.
I deliberately made it out of different colors for each piece, but if you wanted to paint it all one color it would not be hard to do.
This system is home made, and unique, in true cyberdeck style, some of the parts were scavenged from other projects for example the keyboard came from a tablet case.
The computer is 13" x 10" x 7" when folded up, when open it is about 9 1/2 inches tall.This was never intended to be sold, it was made as a project for myself, but sometimes things happen and money is needed.
Cost of components used in this project not counting 3d printed material were approximately $250.I made this for myself personally, I am now selling it essentially unused because I no longer need it, and I have uses for money. It is not cosmetically perfect, but is fully functional.
This computer is currently running Raspberry Pi OS, but many other operating systems are available, this could become an automotive diagnostic computer, a retro gaming system, or any number of other things.
