These are 20 \"awesome\" blank inside cards with 19 envelopes. They are from The Vatican Library Collection. Hrananus Maurus, a monk from Fulda, Germany, was a poet and artist. He bridged the gap between the privileged reading community and the illiterate with the construction of 28 picture poems in his manuscript, de Laudibus Sanctae Crucis (In Praise of the Cross). The illustrations shown in these sets of cards: 5 sets of 4 different poems/pictures sets the theme for verses contained within.
