Original owner. This is from the original \"Monitor One, Mk 1\". Years ago, I burned out one of the tweeters (with only a 50wpc amp!). This is the one that is still working, has been in storage. So if you have burned out one, you can buy this one to replace it (since apparently no one has ever stocked replacement diaphragms for these...Alesis sucks...lol). Yes this is a cheap copy of a Vifa tweeter, however this is 8 ohms (rather than 6 ohms), handles less power, but is higher in sensitivity than the Vifa tweeters. I know because I own them also (the best ones they made, the TG45...better than you can buy today...only the TG35 is still available). The Vifa are lower in sensitivity, but handle a lot more power, and are made a bit better...have a rear chamber, etc. But in my opinion...the best replacement for this tweeter costs about $75 each, is the ScanSpeak Discovery that is 8 ohms and 92 dB sensitivity. If you are going that route, you might as well upgrade the tweeter crossover capacitors...which could cost anywhere from $50 to $500 if you want the good caps. Then there is the cheap iron core woofer series coil...but the woofer is not really worth going to all that trouble...neither is the cabinet, imo.
