Newsletter: None of us can fully realize the potential of the internet. The internet is a tool that can open doors which we did not know were even there. When used safely and properly, it can provide information, communication avenues, solutions, foundations and methods for learning. When nurturing the young student’s enthusiasm and desire for learning, obstacles can appear and slow progress. These obstacles can include learning disabilities, outside influences (such as family or neighborhood circumstances), lack of interest, or insufficient support from teachers and family needed by the particular student. The internet offers the availability of the information you need to figure out if a problem does exist, what the problem may be, strategies and approaches that may be helpful, and how to achieve this with a smile. “Learning Abilities Books” addresses practical concerns for parents, students and teachers of Pre-K through Fifth Grade. Some topics included are: Homeschooling, Resistance to Learning, Basic Respect for Your Child and Student. The emphasis is on the positive. Promote and nurture the strong points of the student. Find the interest then encourage the young student to practice the weak area using the interest. Learning Abilities Books emphasizes the need for mutual respect between the parent or teacher and the child or student. The articles and newsletters are informative while the books are reasonably priced. Remember that following the basic rules of internet safety considerably reduce your chances of an online problem. Refer to the Safety Guide for a quick review. Make this a family or office practice. Constant repetition will make this chore into an everyday practice. |
